The Scandinavia Institute brings together Scandinavian and German organisations and companies in the segments of culture, business and science. The network serves as a bridge to the North with a pillar or „hub“ in Potsdam. The partners and members of the Institute are united by the interest and commitment to promote and intensify the connection with the Nordic countries.

Sustainability, innovation and digitalisation are the themes & motifs of the institute’s projects. Berlin-Brandenburg is linked to the Baltic Sea Region – one of the most important cultural and economic areas in Europe. The geographic proximity, the similar cultural topography in an emerging, innovative capital region is convincing. The member community of companies, institutions and private individuals is active in the fields of culture, science and tourism in the countries. It builds on long-standing contacts between the two regions. The goal is to bundle and network resources in the form of events, projects and via social media. Interdisciplinary, uncomplicated and energetic.
